“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 6:9   C hristmas greetings to one and all in this the most joyous season of the year! 2021 has been a rather trying year.  You may have been like the character in the movie “ Dances With Wolves ” who, upon seeing the skeleton remains of an unfortunate traveler said, “Somebody back east is saying, ”Why don’t she write?”  Well, my silence has been because I have had a series of serious physical issues including a small stroke. But, Praise God, I am finally coming out on the backside of them.   And, despite them, it has still been a productive year.  I have used the time to upgrade the teaching material of several of the subjects we have written over the years, revising, and where needed, adding to them. My physical condition has also limited my participation in ...

ZOOMing Report

Image
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” Philippians 1:3 G reetings to you today. And what a day it is! COVID-19 is still with us. In Florida we are dealing with Tropical Storm Isaias. Life is restrained, to put it mildly. But I join King David in saying, “I believe that I/we shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!” Ps. 27:13 ESV How about you? I believe you believe it as well.  Our Lord will see us through. MY “ZOOMing” REPORT INDIA   On August 7th, I will be adding India to my Zooming ministry. For many years Bhalchandra and Leena Kamble have wanted me to return to India for specific ministry to the women in their churches. And I have wanted very much to go. You know the reasons why that has not been possible for me. But ZOOM  is with us now,  so we have been working on ZOOMing me to India for their desired purpose. You can be certain that I am excited about this. • We will meet twice a month on Fridays. • The value of w...

I Thank God for You

Image
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” Philippians 1:3 Greetings!  I THANK GOD FOR YOU I always tell you that.  At the end of every newsletter. But today I want it to be the first thing I say. I want you to know that you are not an afterthought. Not at all. You have walked with me down the road called Missions Ministry for a long time, and that means the world to me. Thank you so much. I pray God enables us to walk together for a long time to come.    MINISTRY IN NIGERIA The routine goes like this. Zoom is launched, and the invitation is sent to Nigeria for them to  join us. Once the connection is made, we greet Chuwang Davoe and watch the students enter the room one by one, or two by two. Joy fills my heart with each new arrival. It is good to be “together” again.   The room is filled with a new generation of men and women of varying ages who are preparing themselves for the ministry God has called them to do. Some are just beginning their st...

ZOOM!

Image
“…a great (wide) and effective door of ministry has opened to me…” 1 Corinthians 16:9 NKJV G   reetings in the wonderful name of Jesus. The name above all other names. I trust everything is well with you and yours; that God has and is taking you through COVID-19 successfully; showing His love and care for you in every way. He has and is certainly doing that for me and my family. Praise His name. No FEAR. A New Door of Ministry Has Opened to Me An unexpected additional door of ministry has opened for me. It really is a great and effective opportunity. I am going to Nigeria again!  And I won’t have to board an airplane to get there. I’ll just “Zoom” over on the internet and the next thing you know I will be there. Thank God for ZOOM! As one of the most popular marvels of internet communication, ZOOM makes it possible for me to “go” again. I am truly thankful. Six weeks ago, David Smoot and I “Zoomed” to Nigeria to begin weekly teaching sessions with some of Chuwa...

Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving

Image
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” I Thessalonians 5:18 Here it is again. November. And we have just rounded the corner toward the close of this year. King Solomon said, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the sun.” (Eccl. 3:1) November on our calendar is the season and time for giving thanks. We call it Thanksgiving Day. I am thankful that our country still celebrates this holiday. I am most thankful that it’s original celebration was for the purpose of giving thanks to God for all His goodness in bringing them safely from England to this new land of opportunity we call America. Not just thankful for a day off from work. Part of my family will be with me again this year to celebrate, but all of my family will be “together” in remembering the goodness of God in each of our lives during this past year. I am certain the same thing will be happening at your house, as well. For those of you who m...

The Tomb is Empty, for He has risen as He said!

Image
“The tomb is empty! Christ lives again. He holds the keys of hell and death. Why seek the living among the dead? He is not here. He has risen as He said.” (a chorus written by R. B. “Bud” Cassidy) Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus, our risen Savior and Lord. In just a few days we will once again celebrate His resurrection. For the will of God to be accomplished in His life, three important events had to occur: His birth, His death and His resurrection. All over the world, Christians celebrate His birth. In some segments of Christianity His death is remembered on Good Friday. And, again, the whole Christian world celebrates His resurrection. Of the three, the most important one is His resurrection. You know as well as I, if He had not risen, the accusations of the unbelieving Jewish leaders would have been ratified. “See,” they would have been able to say. “Didn’t we tell you he was just another man like we are.” BUT!!! He DID rise from the dead! Proving the scoffers wrong. H...

Rev. Bud Cassidy Memorial Leadership Library Dedication

Image
“Pay to everyone what is due them…honor to whom honor is due.” Romans 13:7 TLV I am changing the focus of this newsletter to the on-going work in Nigeria, in order to share with you pictures from the formal dedication of the Rev. Bud Cassidy Memorial Leadership Library that is established in and through the ministry of Rev. and Mrs. Chuwang Davou and their ministry, Grace and Peace Foundation, Jos, Nigeria. It gives me great joy to be able to honor my late husband, the love of my life, and Founder of Leadership Training International, alongside the wonderful Nigerians who loved/love him so dearly. He dearly loved them. Were he still with us today, his heart would be overflowing with joyful appreciation for the memorial they have raised in his honor. This pictorial presentation is the result of only one of the tens of thousands of others who are also in full-time ministry today because of his visionary leadership to raise up, teach, and equip nationals to fulfill their own God giv...

Image
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5,6 At Last! “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14 F rom the very beginning, God has made it abundantly clear that His intention was, is, and always will be, for the whole earth to be covered with the knowledge and glory of Himself. Adam: “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth…” Ge. 1:28a ESV Noah: “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth…” Ge. 9:1 ESV The Tower of Babel: God’s judgment against the people’s decision to stay in one place rather than disperse throughout the earth as God had commanded Noah. Ge. 11:4 , “Then they (the people) said… lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth. ” “And the Lord said…’Come let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.’ So, the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth… ” Ge.11:6a, 7-8a ESV The Children of Israel in the Wilderness: “...

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 Joyous greetings in Jesus’ wonderful name. My heart is  full of expectation. I believe the Lord is doing glorious things in the earth again. It may not look like it where you live, but I believe it is coming your way if you hunger for it. So, I encourage you to look for it like Elisha told his servant to look for a cloud bringing rain after three years of no rain. And be ready to enter in and receive when it comes. Ministry Report I just returned home from a speaking engagement in Waco, Texas, at the World Bible Way Fellowship Annual Camp Meeting. I am happy to report that the sweet presence of the Lord was in every service. All who attended went home richly strengthened and blessed.  I am especially glad to report that the Lord blessed me with a wonderful anointing to deliver the message He has recently given me to declare wherever a door op...

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15 (NIV) G reetings of joy and gladness to you today. I trust you are doing well and enjoying the rich blessings of God in your life. As I write, our nation is entering its Memorial Day holiday in which we give special honor and remembrance to all our military personnel, both past and present, for their heroic sacrifice to defended our nation, and others, in the pursuit of liberty and peace. They are worthy of our honor, and we gladly give it. It reminds me of another set of military personnel who are also worthy of honor for their personal sacrifice and dedication to the advancement of liberty and peace. They are an army for the Lord. They have, and do, serve Him in full-time leadership ministry for the advancement of His Gospel which brings salvation (liberty) and peace from God the Father to all who ...

“Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!.” Philippians 4:4  G reetings of joy and gladness to you today. This is the day that the Lord has made. I will be glad and rejoice in it. I hope the same for you too. Shortly before Jesus’ crucifixion, He began preparing his disciples for life without Him. He told them that they would have tribulation (affliction, persecution, trouble) in this world. Oh joy! Just what they wanted to hear, right? But it was what they needed to hear. It was a positive statement. A positive/negative, if you will. But a positive, never-the-less.  His remark was honest and they needed to hear the truth. But He didn’t stop there, because that was only one part of this truth. There was more, and the “more” would make all the difference for them. He went on to say, “… be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) With those ten little words, He imparted strength to them and gave them hope for victory. Why am I t...
