The Tomb is Empty, for He has risen as He said!

“The tomb is empty! Christ lives again. He holds the keys of hell and death. Why seek the living among the dead? He is not here. He has risen as He said.” (a chorus written by R. B. “Bud” Cassidy)Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus, our risen Savior and Lord. In just a few days we will once again celebrate His resurrection.
For the will of God to be accomplished in His life, three important events had to occur: His birth, His death and His resurrection. All over the world, Christians celebrate His birth. In some segments of Christianity His death is remembered on Good Friday. And, again, the whole Christian world celebrates His resurrection. Of the three, the most important one is His resurrection.

You know as well as I, if He had not risen, the accusations of the unbelieving Jewish leaders would have been ratified. “See,” they would have been able to say. “Didn’t we tell you he was just another man like we are.”

BUT!!! He DID rise from the dead! Proving the scoffers wrong. He is who He said is. We celebrate this wonderful truth because we know if we die believing in Him we, too, will rise from the dead to be with Him forever! It is called The Blessed Hope.

But wait! It’s not enough for us to live in this hope for ourselves. We must continue declaring this Good News to the rest of the world until all of its corners have heard and entered into that glorious Hope as well.

May your Resurrection Sunday be more meaningful than ever before.

News About Nigeria

In case you are unaware, the slaughtering of Christians in northern Nigeria continues. From our reporting through the years, you know this has been an ongoing problem for decades. The intensity is worsening. The terrorists have no fear because the Nigerian government is doing nothing to quell their activities. We must pray for our Nigerian brothers and sisters in Christ. It is the least we can do. Thank you for praying. God is their only hope in this situation.

In just a few days, I will be sending more books for the Cassidy Memorial Library in Jos, Nigeria with David Smoot. In spite of the present hardships in that country, the work there continues to grow and produce fruit. The gates of Hell will not prevail over the Church. Please pray for David’s safety during this trip.

News from India

Bhalchandra called me last night asking for continued prayer for India. He says the fires of revival are increasing and it is wonderful to see. He is conducting a prayer and teaching conference for many Christian leaders in a new area that I am not familiar with. They will be entreating the Lord’s help as they steward this “new” thing God is doing. Please keep India in your prayers. She desperately needs the Light of the Gospel to dispel the powers of darkness that have ruled over her for centuries. You don’t know these people, and they don’t know you. But they covet your prayers. We must enter into their labors with them through the portal of prayer. Thank you for praying.
Pray without ceasing.

Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Yours in missions,

Mary Ann Cassidy
