Greetings from the frosty North,

Yep, we here in Alaska have already seen our first frost. This is my (Mark’s) favorite time of the year. Cohos are in, duck hunting season, deer hunting season… ahhhh, paradise on earth.
The India trip is nearly here. Wow, time flies. I can’t wait to see what the Father has in store. This trip will not only be an opportunity to minister, but to build relationships with likeminded brothers and sisters in Christ. It will also be a time to learn, grow, and participate in the revival that is taking place in various parts of the world.

It’s also a chance to meet with Bhalchandra and Vilas, our lead men in India. I’m looking forward to hearing their dreams, what Jesus has placed in their hearts, to disccover ways in which we can build on the foundation that has been laid over the last 24 years and help them fulfill their visions, thereby growing LTI’s ministry presence in the process.

I wanted to share with you a taste of what the Father is giving me for this trip. As disciples, we all want more discipline in our lives, and rightly so. But most of us try to gain this through our own will power. You know the routine... “I’m going to read X number of chapters a day, and I’m going to pray for a half hour or an hour every day.” Then we try to make it happen. So, let me ask you, “How’s that working out for you?” Yeah, me too.

But these are good things, needed things, so what’s the answer? The answer is passion for our Lord, the first love. You see, the discipline that flows from passion is greater than the discipline that is generated by our will. And all the truly good stuff, the fruits of the Spirit, self-control, heavenly wisdom, all of that is available to us through our relationship with the Father. It flows from His throne to us. Bottom line is this. If you want more discipline then stoke your passion for Jesus. Just be with Him, love Him, let Him love you. Be grateful for all He is, all He has done and express it. Before you know it, the discipline you need will be yours.

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? Anyway, what a wonderful time in the Lord and with His family. ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. A prime example of a divine appointment. We were in complete agreement about the form the school should take, where it should start, goals and timing. If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
