“And he (Jesus) said, ‘The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Lk. 18:27
In the 1960’s I learned of a wonderful gospel artist and song writer named Doris Akers. I love her music. Somewhere in time, she and Mahalia Jackson wrote a song entitled, “Lord Don’t Move The Mountain,” and right now the lyrics of that song depict where we are with the Radio Station Project.
They read like this:
For the past few months, we at LTI have been wrestling with a mountain looming on our horizon, while asking God to give us His wisdom and direction for how to deal with it. In the natural, we are facing an impossible task, and LTI is a small organization, much like Gideon…the least of the least... assigned to accomplish what seems like an imossible job. To be honest, I have been assailed with weariness, discouragement, and a sense of failure. I have even asked God if we are to admit defeat, while at the same time telling Him that I am willing to do so if I know that is what He wants us to do.
But I have not heard Him say “Quit”. What I have heard is:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Gal. 6:12; and
“…the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” 2 Cor. 10:4; and
“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” 2 Cor. 4:8,9; and
“…let us not be weary in well dong: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Gal. 6:9.
It could be said…”Well, this is Bud’s vision, and Bud isn’t with us anymore”. The truth is that God entrusted this vision into Bud’s hands, but it was/is not Bud’s vision anymore than the vision to build the Ark was Noah’s vision, or the call for Moses to deliver the children of Israel was Moses’ vision, or the call to take the gospel to the gentiles was Paul’s vision. This vision belongs to God alone. He simply chose to place it in our hands, and we are endeavoring, through His help and with all there is in us, to accomplish His desired goal. For it’s “Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” Zech. 4:6
We need a miracle!, then another miracle!, and another, until the job is done. We need you to stand with us in prayer. Can we count on you as a prayer partner? We need this “Red Sea,” and all its other “tributaries” to be parted so that we can walk over on dry ground. Prayer still changes things. Thank you for praying with us.
We will not give up unless the Captain of God’s Army tells us to do so.In the meantime…we continue ministering through our Leadership Conferences and evangelism outreaches. There is no place to stop or stand still…too much work to be done.
ON OCTOBER 14th…
Mark departs for India for just such ministry, as well as to make new contacts and to explore additional ways in which our ministry there can be more effective. There is still a need of $1,000 to meet his budget. Please pray with us that these funds will come in, and if you can give, will you please do so? Thank you.
TWO NEW DOORS OF MINISTRY HAVE OPENED TO ME...
Uganda and Jamaica…and a date is already set for Uganda – May, 2012. My brother and LTI’s Senior Vice President, Bron Barkley, and I will be ministering together in Kampala for eight days through daytime Leadership Training for 200+ pastors, and open air evangelism ministry in the evenings. Bron has ministered there twice before with great success, and we believe God will bless this effort in the same way, or even more so.
Please pray with us, too, for additional partners to join our financial base so the ongoing and increasing needs of the ministry will continue to be met.
Thank you for faithfully serving the Lord with us through your prayers and giving. You are a most important part of all that we do for the glory of God, and we appreciate you more than words can say. May His blessings continue in your lives in abundant measures.
Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Please don’t move that stumbling block,
But lead me Lord around it.
The way may not be easy,
You didn’t say that it would be…
(But) Please don’t move that stumbling block,
(Just) lead me Lord around it.”
