From Mary Ann's Desk...
“You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain….” John 15:16
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus, in whom we live and breathe and have our being. We who live in Florida are rejoicing that Tropical Storm Erika lost all of its potential for becoming a hurricane. We are spared once again. Thank you, Jesus.
A WONDERFUL TIME IN LOUISVILLE, KY
The Worldwide Missionary Evangelism Fellowship’s Global Roundtable Connection in Louisville, KY last month was a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord in every way. We were blessed to have Reinhard Bonnke as our main speaker. He brought a rich word on the fire of the Holy Spirit. It was wonderful. In fact, every speaker brought timely words that challenged and encouraged us in our own ministries. The diligent labors of the WME leadership were very fruitful. Thank you, for your labors of love in behalf of our Lord and the Fellowship. God bless you.
A personal highlight for me at the Roundtable was the opportunity to visit with five young men and women who were some of our students at Maranatha Institute, Centerville, Ohio, where Bud and I ministered in the 70’s just before going to Ghana. They had heard the Lord calling them to “the ministry,” and we – along with others – poured ourselves into them, preparing them for their destiny. All of them are successful pastors in their own locales (Louisiana, Michigan and Ohio), and this makes my heart leap with joy. Thank you Lord.
P.S.We had a really good time together.
A VISITOR FROM NIGERIA
Shortly after my Louisville trip, I was blessed by a visit from Rev. Chuwang Davou, of Jos, Nigeria, whom we have known since 1989. He and his wife attended our very first Pastors and Ministers Conference in Jos that year. With only a few exceptions, they have been faithful attendees every year since then. God is mightily using this man all over the continent of Africa. He and his wife are like “Timothy’s” to us in that they felt God calling them to replicate our P&M Conferences in as many other countries on the African continent as they possibly could. (“…the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also…” 2 Tim. 2:2). They have been doing this for 17 years, now. Thus far, and in addition to Nigeria, they have trained over 15,000 leaders from the following nations – Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Burundi, Zambia, Ghana, Cameroon, Congo DRC, Southern Sudan, Swaziland, Mozambique, South Africa, Benin, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia. I cannot fully express to you how much my heart rejoices when I think of all that God has done and is doing. It is too wonderful for words. My heart overflows.
And this is only one man’s report out of all the 20,000+ we have trained in our conferences in Jos, over the past 27 years. Who knows how much has been accomplished by all of them put together. Only heaven will reveal those details.
My heart is singing this little chorus that so aptly expresses how I feel:
“All the glory belongs to the Lord.
Only He is worth of our praise.
No man should receive any glory to himself.
All the glory belongs to the Lord.”
