News From The North...

Greetings from the Great Land,

Dry, dryer, driest. That hasn’t often been said of Juneau. We actually need rain, something Mark has said only 3 or 4 times in the nearly 50 years he’s lived here. Never fear, soon enough we’ll be back to normal, complaining about the incessant rain.

INDIA
As promised last month we have a time frame for this years trip to India. The plan right now is to arrive on November 13 and leave on the 23. That gives us 10 days in country and two weekends to spend with the churches. And perhaps enough time to get out of the city for an outreach to the villages. We hope you will consider joining us on this trip. You will have plenty to do and we promise, you won’t be bored!

ROMANIA
Mark would love to make another trip to Romania this year and he’s discussing a late fall or early winter trip with Sandor. We’ll keep you in the loop and if it looks like there’s enough to do you’ll get an invitation for this trip, too.

SPEAKING OF ROMANIA…
Sometimes the Father just overwhelms us, totally blows our minds. Mark’s first trip to Romania was like that. From the warm welcome from the Paskucz family to the divine appointments, the blessing of the Lord was on display. One thing really stands out, though, and that is the Fathers hand in guiding Mark to meet wonderful brothers and sister with the same hunger, the same longing for revival.

It simply can’t be coincidence when one travels thousands of miles to meet people they don’t know only to find kindred spirits at every turn. Sandor, Pastor Adi Crisztea and Pastor Florian Vasile, all godly men, all relentless in their pursuit of God, His presence, and revival.

Florian is a young guy pastoring a church in Brasov. His gentleness and sweet spirit belie the iron resolve in pursuing God’s presence and his passion for the Father's family and the city of Brasov. Just those qualities would be enough to cement a friendship with Mark but there is more. Florian and his wife Mirabela went to school in the States. They ended up in a church that is connected with, of all places, Bethel church in Redding, CA! For Mark, talking to Florian was like talking to an old friend, someone that spoke the same language, and shared much of the same heart for the Kingdom. The brief time together in ministry and breaking bread planted the seeds of a friendship that we know will bear a lot of fruit in the years to come.

Thanks again for all you do for the Kingdom. Blessings!

Mark & Julie
