CELEBRATE WITH US

This month we are placing our THIRTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY marker on our road of ministry outside the United States.

When Bud and I set out on this journey in 1979, we had no idea how many places God would take us to, or
for how long. We were so greatly blessed to walk together for twenty-seven years in the path that God had established for us until He called Bud home. Now I, and my family, are greatly blessed to continue walking in that same path for the glory of God.

By God’s grace we have joyfully worked long-term in the fields of Ghana and Nigeria on the African

Continent, and India in South Asia. For nearly a decade we were in Hungary and Romania in Eastern Europe.

For shorter periods of time, we have ministered in Mexico in North America, Guatemala in Central America, Trinidad/Tobago in the Caribbean, Nepal in South Asia, and Uganda in East Africa.
In the decade of the 90’s God also blessed us with the privilege of placing other Americans as missionaries in the countries of Hungary, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Spain, and Britain. We also served as their stateside office in any capacity they needed us to. Most of them are still active in these and/or other places God has called them to.

There will always be the need for ministries like LTI - those who are called to educate and equip the next generation of church leaders in the emerging countries of the world. That is the foundational vision and calling of LTI and it will remain the central calling and focus of all we do in the name of the Lord.

I am happy to report that LTI continues to move forward and I am believing God for increase. To get more details on this note, be sure to read Mark’s column. He has good news to share with you.
All of this is for the glory of God. He is the reason we said “Yes.” He is the reason we still GO. Jesus told His disciples that He would build His church and the gates of Hell would not be able to prevail against it.

Thank you, Partners, for being part of the number who labor with us for Him. Great will be your reward in Heaven. We love you and thank God for you every day.
Please keep us in your prayers as we continue on this journey.

Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? Anyway, what a wonderful time in the Lord and with His family. ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. A prime example of a divine appointment. We were in complete agreement about the form the school should take, where it should start, goals and timing. So, as soon as the holiday season is past, Mark will start working on the curriculum for the school. We hope to see the first students attending classes in the fall of 2015! “And the things thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 2016! If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
