News From the North June 2011

Greetings from the beautiful, sunny North!

Huh, big surprise, the “new, improved” visa process turned into a major ordeal, but I (Mark) should have my visa back in time for departure on Saturday. And everybody said....  AMEN!

During this trip, I will be ministering in several venues around the Jos area. My itinerary is as follows:

May 23: Arrive in Abuja
May 24-26: Ministry in Fobur, East Jos
May 27-29: Conference in Jos (this is a new venue)
June 1-5: Outreach in Rayfield
June 5-7: Followup in Fobur
June 8: Depart Abuja

Wow, God has really blessed me with a full ministry schedule. Please, pray that the Father shows up in power, and that I hear and share His heart, what He is saying and doing in the moment. I’ll try and update from the field on our blog. Thanks again for all you give to make this happen.

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? Anyway, what a wonderful time in the Lord and with His family. ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. A prime example of a divine appointment. We were in complete agreement about the form the school should take, where it should start, goals and timing. So, as soon as the holiday season is past, Mark will start working on the curriculum for the school. We hope to see the first students attending classes in the fall of 2015! If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
