The Peace of God

“And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
Don’t you wish everyone knew the peace that passes all understanding like those of us who believe in Jesus and follow Him? I know I do. 
The power of fear has loomed up LARGE in our sight during this pandemic... all over the world. I’ve never seen anything like it. Even some Christians are in its grip. It makes my heart break for them. 
We have the solution to fear. His name is Jesus. Oh, if people would only believe in Him and surrender their lives to Him. Make Him their Lord as well as their Savior. Then they would also know and enjoy the peace that passes all understanding. 
Until “the Lord descends from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ rise first: then those who are alive and remain are caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…” (1 Thess. 4:16-17) … until that time comes we have a big job to do. We MUST reach all the world with the good news of Jesus. At home, yes. And to the uttermost parts of the earth that have not yet heard His sweet name, most certainly.
At home, the gospel is abundantly available and there are more than enough workers to labor in that field. But the situation is not the same in the uttermost parts of the earth. In those places, the harvest is white but there are very few– IF ANY – laborers working in those fields. God help us see the need and move to meet it.
OH! I wish I were younger and in better health. I would still be going. But, oh how thankful I am for the years I was able to go. Now, it is my job to challenge the younger ones to answer the call and help prepare them for that great work. 
During COVID-19, I have been busy doing those very things. At home, and abroad, via the wonders of technology. And I will continue doing them until the Lord should say differently. 
Thank you for faithfully standing with me in the work God has given me to do in this season of my life. I love and pray for all of you.
 Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. A prime example of a divine appointment. We were in complete agreement about the form the school should take, where it should start, goals and timing. “And the things thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 2016! If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
