News From the Dyars...

Greetings from soggy Redding!

Praise God! The drought is finally, officially over in Northern California! Two years of above average rainfall did the trick. Rivers are running full, reservoirs are nearing capacity, and dry creek beds aren’t dry. What a demonstration of the extravagance of our Father!

KENYA

God has done something wonderful. He has forged a place for Kenya and her people deep in our hearts. Kenya represents a paradox of sorts, a living illustration of the wheat and tares parable. Yes, there are frauds and charlatans, but there are also good, godly men and women like Gordon and Beatrice Onyango. In coming months we will be sharing their stories. Right now we want to give you a glimpse of their heart.

Some of you know Gary and Delana Miracle. Gary introduced Mark to Gordon in August of last year. He felt Gordon might be able to help Mark out with some of logistics of the trip. Wow, was he ever right! Gordon stepped into the breach, arranged for a car, met Mark in Nairobi and drove him daily for two weeks. He also set up ministry opportunities, arranged accommodations, taught Mark a lot about Kenyan culture and introduced him to many pastors and leaders. Not hard to see the heart of a servant in Gordon and Beatrice. That heart is also seen in their day to day lives. This couple pastor a church in Nakuru and they do it with love and grace. They also reach out to the neighborhood kids, feeding them spiritually and physically. We are honored to call them friends.

We are still in need of $3900.00 for this trip to Kenya. Mark’s target departure remains to be on or about March 17th. Please pray with us for the provision of these funds Anything the Lord would lead you to do is greatly appreciated.

ROMANIA

Sometimes, what we see in the natural is a reflection of what’s coming in the spiritual. The Romanian economy is growing rapidly, second only to Ireland in the European Union. And as Romania breaks free from physical poverty we can expect to see her breaking free from the poverty of the spirit. Right now, many are being saved but finding a Bible-believing church can be difficult. That’s where we come in. Together, we can see pastors and leaders trained, raised up and released. It’s critical at this time that the church move into discipling new believers, helping them mature into lovers of God that bring His presence and Kingdom wherever they go.

Thank you for all that you do.

Yours for the Kingdom,

Mark and Julie
