Jesus said, “ We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.” John 9:4 ESV
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I trust your hearts are filled with the peace of God that passes all understanding in spite of all the terrible things that are going on in the world today. We should not be surprised by these things. Jesus said they would come. He also told us to lift up our heads when these things happen, because it simply means the completion of our redemption is coming closer and closer to its appointed day. Peter put it this way:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade – kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:3-5 (NIV)
What wonderful assurance we as believers have through Jesus Christ.
BUT.... There is still a very large number of people in this world who have not yet heard the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done for them so that they too can enter into this living hope.
These people need to be given the opportunity to “hear” – not just with their physical ears, but by the opening of their spiritual ears so that they can believe and receive this wonderful new birth and living hope for themselves.
Needless to say, that is why we still go. And will continue to go as long as the Lord directs us to and makes provision for us to follow Him wherever He leads.
I want to encourage you to pray for Mark as he, and hopefully Julie, prepare for the trip to Romania in November, as well as his trip to India in January. We know that the powers of darkness cannot stand against the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ as His name is declared in power and anointing.
YOU ARE INVITED TO HELP SEND MARK AND JULIE
Also, I want to invite you to be a financial partner with us in these two very important missions.
If you have never given in this manner before, I ask you to prayerfully inquire of the Lord if He would have you participate with us through financial giving.
If you give regularly, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your faithfulness in this manner. However, I would ask you to consider giving an extra amount, if possible, for the expenses of these two trips.
Thank you so much for listening to the voice of the Lord and for responding as He leads you. It is our desire to be faithful stewards of the work He has put into our hands to do. When you participate with us you also become a faithful steward in the fulfillment of His will in the earth.
In the words of a little chorus we used to sing:
“We’ll work ‘til Jesus comes, then we’ll be gathered home.”
Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain
Yours in missions,
Mary Ann Cassidy
