From Mary Ann's Desk...
“But the angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He has risen, as He said.’” Matthew 28:5-6a
GOOD NEWS
I still have sight in my left eye! Thank you Lord. The surgery was a total success…no tearing of the macular membrane which would have caused blindness, and no problems in smoothing out the wrinkle in the membrane which would have left me with some measure of distortion in my vision. Needless to say, I breathed a huge sigh of relief. That is the first stage of recovery.
Now that the wrinkle has been taken care of the edema in the eye has the opportunity to reduce so that my vision can be normal once again. This process takes time, and it varies with each person. Normally, whatever reduction has taken place at the end of a six month period is all that will ever be realized. I am believing for all the edema to be gone and my vision returned to “normal.”
Each of us can victoriously fight some battles on our own. Others need reinforcement, and this battle was one of those for me. I send a great big “Thanks” to all of you who have kept me in your prayers. I am truly blessed to have you in my life.
SOON WE CELEBRATE
Some call it Easter Sunday. Some call it Resurrection Sunday. Either way, it’s the time of year when we remember Christ’s death and resurrection. I am expecting a great time of remembering followed by joyful celebration for His love toward us. I hope you are as well. “Greater love has no man than this, than a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
