Warm greetings to you this month. At last the sun is shining again. We have had rain, rain, and more rain this year. So much so I began to feel like I was on the Ark with Noah. Since we really needed the rain I did my best to thank the Lord for it from a sincere heart, but now I am thanking Him for the sunshine without any effort to “do my best”. I surely do hope He understands.

We had another great and wonderful addition to our family last month. It happened on February 21st. A
beautiful baby boy was born to Alex and Amy Groth – Jennifer’s #2 son and daughter-in-law. Now we are grand and great grandmothers for the second time. His name is Judah Alexander Groth. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 21 inches long. Jennifer, of course, went to be with them and is having a wonderful time. Isn’t he beautiful?

I was scheduled for eye surgery on February 6th, but my doctor had two emergency surgeries come up that took precedence. I am now scheduled for March 20th, and will let you know the outcome in next month’s newsletter.

Mark is in Romania as I write, and has already posted a report on our lti blog. When you read his column you will see how to log in and keep up with his trip events if you have internet access. We are excited about this trip! Please keep him and all the events in your prayers.

Thank you for being faithful financial and prayer partners with us in missions. We are so grateful for your love for the Lord and your partnership with us. You send. We go. Makes for great team work, dosen’t it.
May the goodness, love, joy and peace of our Lord and Savior be with always both now and always.
Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. “And the things thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 2016! If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
