News From the North...

Greetings from the cold, blustery North.

True story - earlier this week, we exited the house to discover a fine film of frost covering the car windows. Frost! Out came the scrapers; off went the ice, and then on to the adventures of the day.   The answer to your question is yes, you should feel very sorry for us.

We have been anticipating this particular newsletter as we have several exciting developments to share.
Over the course of the last several years, we have felt as if we were in a visionary holding pattern. With the delay in progress on the radio station, and circumstances of life, things just seemed stuck. While we’ve continued to keep the fires burning for India and Nigeria, we sensed there was more and have been seeking “The More.”

About six months ago, on a Saturday, we were in separate parts of the house when the Lord began to share vision with us. Later in the morning when we began to share with each other, we were amazed to find He had been speaking the same thing to the other.

Basically, what the Lord laid on our heart, was a model for ministry that would involve partnering with a church body for a season to help them transition into a revival culture. By partnering, we mean living, serving, doing life; really getting down in the trenches with them to accelerate the transformation from experiencing a revival to living in a revival.

The beauty of this model is that it will work anywhere in the world, and answers a need that we’ve recognized here at home and on the mission field. A need for something between a conference or short term missions trip, and long term residence.

Right on the heals of this, God also began breathing new life into old areas of vision. New or revived opportunities are beginning to open up in Romania, India and Guatemala.

We have begun working with Sandor Paskucz to plan a ministry trip into Romania. We have not ironed out all the details as of yet. However, thankfully, we do know that this will be a relatively inexpensive trip with an anticipated cost of approximately $3,500. We will be sure to keep you informed as the plans progress.
Additionally, with the expanded vision, we are working toward relocating to the lower 48. This is simply a practical matter as it is too hard and too expensive to travel in and out of Alaska on a regular basis.
Moving in and out of Alaska is also very arduous and expensive. We ask that you would keep us in your prayers for God’s supernatural provision during this time.

If this vision is something that ignites in your heart, we would love to hear from you.  It feels a little like entering uncharted waters. Any encouragement, insight, help, prayers, Words, ideas would be welcome since this vision is way bigger than us!

Yours for the Kingdom,

Mark & Julie
