Greetings from the Great White North,

SNOWED UNDER!
The citizens of Juneau have been dealing with a monster snow storm, now turned to ice, for days.
Mark and Julie have asked us to help them by writing their column this month since they are literally digging out from under at an almost non-stop pace. And, we agreed, of course.

INDIA 2013 MISSION
The date has finally been set, the budget has been determined, and we are now finalizing the speaker roster. Until the date got set, we could not finalize the budget because airfares vary depending on the time of year you plan to fly.

DATE:       April 24 - May 3

 BUDGET:                  $5,000.00
Airfare                           $2,500.00
Accommodations
& ground transportation   $1,300.00
Conference expenses           $1,200.00

SPEAKERS
Mark Dyar (LTI Team Leader) and Associate Pastor Norbert Rodriguez (Bethesda Bible Church, Ypsilanti, MI) are confirmed. We are waiting to hear from Pastor Greg Stevens (Immanuel Christian Church, Durban, South Africa), who was a speaker last year, as to whether his schedule will accommodate this year’s Conference dates.

THEME
“Going on the Offensive.” The need to reach the lost with the Good News of Jesus Christ will be addressed and methods of accomplishing the task will be explored.

Now, we must raise the money. We need to receive the $2,500 for Mark’s airfare as soon as possible, preferably no later than March 1st so that we can get the best possible fare. The remaining $2,500.00 needs to be in no later than April 20th.

We ask that you pray with us for the funds to come in a timely fashion. We appreciate any gift, of any size, should the Lord speak to your own heart.

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? Anyway, what a wonderful time in the Lord and with His family. ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. A prime example of a divine appointment. We were in complete agreement about the form the school should take, where it should start, goals and timing. “And the things thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 2016! If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
