Greetings. I trust all is well with you today as you begin the transition into holiday mode. All of us will be quite busy from now until January 1st, but we love this time of year, don’t we?
We are already quite busy at LTI. We end October and begin November with a visit from our main leader in India, Bhalchandra Kamble. He called me one day and said, “Auntie, if you can’t come to us, I will come to you.” I am very glad he is coming. Even though we visit by telephone and email, there is nothing like sitting down together in the same room for detailed discussion and planning for the future of the work in India. Thanks to Skype, Mark will be “with” us, as well. I wish I could take him around to all of you and let you meet him. Since that is not possible, I will have to settle for giving you a report next month and supply you with photos.
Then, the next important thing this month is “Voting Day”, Tuesday the 6th. All eyes will be on the result of our participation. What an important time in our nation’s history.
On the 16th, Jennifer and I will be departing for the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana to meet with Pastor Fred Kasule, the host pastor of our outreach to Uganda this past May. He is in the States for a few weeks, and we are meeting with him to discuss some possibilities for future ministry in Uganda. Here, again, it is better to sit down together, face-to-face, than to visit by phone or email. While we are in the area, we will be touching base with as many of our friends there as possible, and we are eagerly looking forward to this trip.
After that, it will be Thanksgiving Day, with as many of the family as possible converging at my house to enjoy time together and give thanks to the Lord for another successful year.
Wow! What a month. But it’s going to be a great month. May yours be great, as well.
As always, we thank each of you for your faithful support through prayer and finances. You are in our prayers continually, with thanksgiving and petition before God for His continued blessings in abundant measure in your lives.
Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain
Yours in missions,
Mary Ann Cassidy
