“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4

Greetings in Jesus’ wonderful name. This week our nation celebrated its 236th year of Independence from Britain, and I hope you and your family enjoyed the day very much.

My contribution to the newsletter this month is about family, as we are preparing for two very important and very different events.

One is a joyful occasion – the wedding of Mark and Julie’s firstborn, Hannah, my first granddaughter – in Boise, Idaho on July 21st.  Jennifer, Janna and I will be flying out on the 19th, and we are looking forward to participating in this wonderful time in Hannah’s life.

The other, is the approaching death of my youngest brother, who is under Hospice care for terminal lymphatic cancer. Of course, no one knows the day nor the hour when this event will occur, but he seems to be declining now at a more rapid pace than before. That means another trip to Austin, Texas, where he resides, is necessary for me to make in the next few days. We hope this month does not consist of one wedding and one funeral, but if so, we hope the wedding comes first so that it is not overshadowed with sorrow. Please keep our familiy in your prayers.

In the meantime, life and the work of the ministry goes on. It has been Mark’s desire to share with you a living example of LTI’s influence on the next generation of church leaders - this time, from the perspective of a first-time participant in an LTI missions outreach. Mark’s column contains a copy of a report from one of his India Trip Team Members, Bill Paddock. We hope you are as blessed by reading it as we were.

TO OUR PARTNERS
Thank you for your faithful participation with us in the work God has called us to do in other parts of this world. You are of great value to God and to us. We love you and appreciate you more than words can say.
Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Yours in missions,

Mary Ann Cassidy
