Ahh, Summertime in Alaska...


Brings our oldest daughter, Hannah, home from college to get ready for her wedding next month, high shcool graduation for our middle daughter, Ellen. And company. Our home church, Valley Chapel, hosted a group from Redding, CA for a week of services, and we were blessed to be able to house some of them while they were here. Incredible services and wonderful company.

Just on the heels of that, our nephew, Ryan (Jennifer’s oldest son), and his wife, Lindsay, have come to visit. So, needless to say, summertime in Alaska has been busy, busy, busy so far. And, we’re loving every minute of it.

Next month, I want to share with you Bill Paddock’s view of the India trip. He was one of the ministry team members. I think it will bless you to see through additional eyes and hear a different voice.

Although this is just a quick family note, we want to take every opportunity we can to say “Thank you” for all that you do, both financially and in prayer, to help us reach the lost and to strengthen the churches in the fields where He has called us.

May God continue to richly bless you is our prayer.

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
