News From the Dyars...

Greetings from Beautiful Northern California!
Another eventful month in the Dyar household. Claire and Josh are back from Europe and settling into married life here in Redding. Ellen is on her way to New York City with her sister Hannah and Mark is back from a wonderful (and successful!) trip to Juneau. Gospel Communicators is taking off and looking like it will become what Mark and Julie envision it to be - a help to those stepping out into ministry, and an income stream that will help support the work we’re doing overseas. 
JUNEAU
He’s a good, GOOD Father! Mark’s two weeks in Alaska were quite a blessing. He was able to get a lot of work done on the siding job for Bill and Liz Paddock and preach twice at Juneau Revival Center (Praise Chapel). What a blessing! You can find both messages on itunes or via the link on JRC’s Facebook page. 
DYAR GIRLS
From time to time we like to share what God is doing in, through and for our girls, testimonies to His goodness that we hope bless and encourage you. You may recall that Hannah is in medical school, pursuing her calling to be a doctor. Ellen is hard after her God-given dream to shine His light in the musical theatre world. Somehow, the Father brought these two divergent paths together and both are now headed to New York City together! Another huge step towards seeing their destinies come to life!
KENYA
Wow, time flies! Mark’s Kenya trip is right around the corner. He’s in full prep mode, working on messages, visas, tickets, etc. Gordon has the itinerary set and it’s a full one! Five conferences for pastors and leaders plus preaching each Sunday should keep Mark busy while he’s there. Mark will also be looking at some possible sites for the School of Ministry and talking to folks that might want to attend the school. We would ask that you keep this trip in your prayers. Kenya just had an election and there has been some “unrest”, so we’re asking that you pray for peace for Kenya and protection for Mark and Gordon as they minister.

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? Anyway, what a wonderful time in the Lord and with His family. ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. A prime example of a divine appointment. We were in complete agreement about the form the school should take, where it should start, goals and timing. Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy. “And the things thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 2016! If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. The desktop they were using is old and cannot support programs like Corel Draw and others
