“I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1 (NKJV)
Greetings again in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is always a joy to visit with you via our newsletters, and this time is no exception. As always, I trust that all is well with you and yours, and that you are experiencing the abiding presence of our God in your life every day.
Two months ago, I reported that LTI has begun helping Rev. Chuwang Davou, founder of Grace and Peace Foundation International headquartered in Jos, Nigeria, to fill the shelves of their library – the Rev. Cassidy Memorial Leadership Library - with as many good resource materials for ministers as we possibly can. Many men and women are being trained and equipped for leadership ministry in the churches of Nigeria and other countries through Grace and Peace Foundation. The broad variety of Christian resource materials that are, and will be, in this library will be helpful beyond measure to all those who study and prepare for their callings in this place.
As a result of that newsletter, Pastor Robert Wells and his ministry, Robert Wells Ministry, gave us a generous donation that will enable us to purchase a goodly number of books to add to those already on these library shelves. I had not made an appeal for help with this endeavor, but my report struck a chord in his heart and he surprised us with his wonderful donation. I don’t know about you, but I like surprises like this. Way back in 1989, Bud asked Pastor Wells to join him as part of the ministry team in evangelistic crusades in the capital cities of five states in northern Nigeria. God blessed these crusades – one in particular – in a mighty, mighty way, and Pastor Wells got to see first-hand the great move of God that was going on in Nigeria. He has been a faithful and generous friend to LTI through the years, and we appreciate him so very much.
Thank you Pastor Wells, for helping us develop a full, well rounded, robust ministerial library for the continually growing church in Nigeria; the benefit of which will reach beyond Nigeria to other African nations as well. May the Lord continually bless all you put your hands to (Psalm 1:3). You are a dear friend to us.
In closing, I proclaim blessings of peace (shalom), grace (favor) and abundance (prosperity) to all of our ministry friends, and in particular to our faithful financial partners, whose generous gifts enable us to continue pushing the plow of service unto God for His glory. We love and appreciate you greatly.
Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain
Yours in missions,
Mary Ann Cassidy
