“ It’s not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, sayeth the Lord of hosts.” Zachariah 4:6 (KJV)

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ. Seasons come and seasons go. For most of us, Spring has officially arrived and brings with it new hope and new life.

The big story for LTI this month is about Mark and Julie, details of which are revealed in their column “News From the North.” In fact, you may want to read their column right now to see what is going on. All of us are very excited about these new events and we are looking forward to all that will be forthcoming as a result. God is good. All the time.

The next story is that my fourth great grandchild made his entrance into this world on April 23rd at 10:25 PM, weighing 8 lbs. 2 ozs., and measuring 21 in. long. Hunter Ryan Groth is his name, and we welcome him with open arms. In just 21 months, I have been blessed with four - I say four - great grandchildren. Three boys and one girl. The first girl in this branch of my family. Is this the same thing as being fruitful in my old age? Of course not, but it does feel like something akin to that. The most wonderful thing about all of this is that both sets of parents are following the Lord with all their hearts and are purposed to raise their children to follow Him in the same manner. We are greatly blessed.

The next story is this: God is moving by His Spirit all over the world, particularly in those nations located inside the 10/40 Window that have been closed for soooooo long to the Good News that Jesus came into this world to bring salvation to every person who will believe upon Him. He is always found by those who seek Him.

I cannot fully express to you the joy that wells up in my soul as I realize the magnitude of what is happening in the earth today.

Prayers have been prayed for who knows how many years. Decades? Centuries? I don’t know, but now they are being answered! And we rejoice!

I don’t know that any of this current information is ever broadcast by the mainstream news media, but it is being broadcast by Christian broadcasters on a regular basis.
Do we know how many have believed? I doubt it, but it is in the tens of thousands in “this” country and “another” country, and on and on... and it is wonderful.

Thank you God for sending Jesus. Thank you Jesus that you came. Thank God for missionaries who go; pastors and churches who send; prayer warriors who pray; and, anyone and everyone, for whatever part they may have played in sowing seeds into this developing harvest. God bless them and God bless the Church!

National Day of Prayer – May 7

Mother’s Day – May 10
Pentecost Sunday – May 24

Out of curiosity, Jennifer and I sat down one day to see if our closing remarks “4.4 billion...who still need Jesus” is still correct. It seems that as the world’s population increases, the percentage of Christians in the world should increase to a larger proportionate rate. After all, aren’t we winning more and more souls to the Lord? Oddly enough, in our research, we discovered that the percentage changes only slightly, and not enough to change our closing phrase. Surprised? We were. But our numbers are still true.

TO OUR PARTNERS - Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for your faithful partnership with us as we endeavor to accomplish the work God has put into our hands to do. May God continue to bless you abundantly is our prayer.

Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Yours in missions,

Mary Ann Cassidy
