"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Luke 2:14

It's hard to believe this year has come and gone already, and that 2015 is literally right around the corner. We have had a wonderful year. Another year of changes, but a wonderful year none the less. New great grand babies (and 2 more on the way), new jobs and new ministry opportunities. And for all of these things, we are truly grateful and blessed.

One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season (that's different than the Christmas Story), is listening to all of the Christmas songs, from the traditional choir carols to the latest arrangement sung by the newest acapella group.

Ever get a line, just one line, from a song that gets stuck in your head and you walk around for days singing that same line over and over again in your head? Sometimes you sing out loud when you think you're all alone and no one is watching (or listening)? Sometimes you hum or whistle a little when there are people around?

This year, as Jennifer and I were choosing the graphics for this year's card, I looked over at her and asked, "What comes to your mind when you look at this?" Her answer was, "Believe it or not, mom, not necessarily a Christmas song. I see Andre Crouch - 'He left his mighty throne in glory. To bring to us redemption's story...'"

Needless to say, those are the lyrics that are running through my spirit this season. You know the rest of the words to this oh so familiar song. While December 25 may or may not be the actual date of Jesus' birth. Nevertheless, it is the day we have set aside on the calendar to celebrate the day He left His mighty throne in glory. The day He gave up his "heavenly body" to put on "the body of humanity," with all it's frailties.  Think about it. What kind of love is this? That He was willing to give up everything. For us! I can think of no better reason to celebrate than that.

May 2015 be filled with hope and abundant blessings.

Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Yours in missions,

Mary Ann Cassidy & Family
