From our homes to yours, 

 We send tidings of joy and whishes to all for a wonderful Christmas Season. As you celebrate our Saviour’s birth, may your homes be filled with His presence. May each of us be filled once again with the wonder and awe of God’s most Precious Gift.

2014 is filled with promises, but for now, let’s take a moment just to reflect.

We had just been in Ghana for one year, during which time we had learned the little chorus. The lyrics are simple. The melody is sweet. Yet the message is precious. It’s peacefully complete.


As we entered the Christmas Season that year, the following poem was birthed in me. Reflecting on that reminded me that His birth truly was a miracle, a marvelous thing.

Jesus – The Wonderful One
Not only is “Wonderful” one of his names, 
But the truth of that name is always the same.
It means “miracle,” “a marvelous thing.”

 When born of a virgin this truth was proclaimed.
Isaiah had not spoken one word in vain.
Jesus’ birth was a miracle, a wonderful thing.

 On Galilee’s Sea this truth He displayed. 
He commanded the waves, “Be still!” – they obeyed!
Many miracles did He, many marvelous things.

 His death on the cross made this truth real for me.
By His death for my sins I’m pardoned, I’m free!
Since I called on His name, and He came and saved me!
What a wonderful miracle, what a marvelous thing!

 He ascended to Heaven with the Father on high,
Yet this truth lives today – it shall never die!
He continues His miracles from His throne in the sky.

 Let us all sing His praises, let our voices proclaim
The greatness, the splendor that’s portrayed in that name.

 For He is Wonderful – He does Marvelous Things.

 Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? Anyway, what a wonderful time in the Lord and with His family. ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. A prime example of a divine appointment. We were in complete agreement about the form the school should take, where it should start, goals and timing. So, as soon as the holiday season is past, Mark will start working on the curriculum for the school. We hope to see the first students attending classes in the fall of 2015! “And the things thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 2016! If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. The desktop they were using is old and cannot support programs like Corel Draw and others

Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
