From Mary Ann's Desk... Happy 4th of July!!!

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.”  John 8:36

Happy 4th of July! Celebrating our Nation’s 237th Birthday! It’s that time of year for hot dogs, home made ice cream and fireworks. Thank you, Lord, for our freedom, for those who have been willing to give their lives for it, and for all those who still defend it today.

But more importantly, Lord, thank You that regardless of the political state of this nation or this world, we know that our freedom is in You, purchased at Calvary.

Intro to Bible Update
The Second Edition of our Introduction to the Bible, Student Manual, is no longer a Student Manual. It has grown in such proportions that it has now become a book. Last month, Jennifer and I completed our first round of edits on the text, and in a few days, she will have completed the layout and graphic design work that is still remaining. At our Board of Directors Meeting later this month, we will be presenting a Draft Copy to each Board Member for their review and critical comments. It has been a busy month.

Travel Itinerary
Our activities this month focus on our travel schedule. It is going to be a busy and blessed time. Already we are preparing what we need to take with us in our journeys. We will depart Ocala on the 12th and will be returning home on the 27th, making lots of stops along the way.

On Sunday the 14th we will be at The Sanctuary, in Port Neches, Texas, my home church, where Ralph Foster is Pastor. We always enjoy “going back home” and being with church family and friends of many years standing.

From there we plan to go to Dallas, Texas, for a short visit with Dr. Kenny Howe, President of World Bible Way Fellowship, and his lovely wife Rhea. It may or may not be able to happen, but we are surely hoping that it will.

Then we head for Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to be with Dennis and Cora Blackwell, Pastors of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Grand Isle, Louisiana, for a few days. They will be hosting a home fellowship on the 17th, during which they will be introducing us to some new friends of theirs. We are really looking forward to this time with them.

On Thursday morning, the 18th, we will be holding our Annual Board of Directors meeting for LTI.

Friday morning, the 19th, will find us on our way to Leesville, Louisiana, for the Annual Missions Conference at Family Worship Center, where Mike Jackson is Pastor. This church gives it their all to provide a wonderful time of ministry, fellowship and refreshing for all who attend, but especially  for all of us missionaries, and we are looking forward to being with these dear friends.

Sunday afternoon, the 21st, we will turn our sights toward Cleveland, TN. Beginning on Friday the 25th, we will be introducing LTI at the Bi-Annual Lay Mission Representative Convention of the Church of God. This is a new venue for LTI, and we look forward to being there.

On Saturday afternoon, the 27th, we will turn our heads toward home.

We are blessed with so many friends – those named above and many others. We are deeply thankful for each and every one of you and for your faithful labors with us in the work of foreign missions. May the Lord’s grace and blessing be multiplied to you in all things, is my prayer.

Because there are over 4.4 billion people in the world who still need Jesus, I remain

Yours in missions,

Mary Ann Cassidy
