First the big news. It’s official-GCI (Gospel Communicators, Inc.) has been transferred to us! The potential here is huge: helping other ministries, networking, partnering, serving. The ability to offer non-profit (501c3) status has lot of Kingdom possibilities. If you, or someone you know, needs non-profit status, we’d be honored to help.
KENYA
As promised in earlier newsletters, we’re going introduce you to Gordon and Beatrice, our friends and ministry partners in Kenya.

Gordon and Beatrice have been ministering in Nakuru since 2004. They’ve planted churches, mentored pastors, and reached out to the poor, the widow and the orphan. And they pastored Victory International Fellowship-Nakuru all the while.

These two are a rarity in Africa: a husband and wife team, working together in everything. They minister together, pastor together, feed the poor together. What a wonderful example of how a couple should function in the Kingdom. But it’s their love that that leaves the biggest impression, their love for each other, for the poor, for believers and for God.

I saw that love demonstrated just about every day while he was in Kenya. Gordon and Beatrice were there for him every day, in whatever capacity needed. Driver, guide, translator, they wore all those hats and more. Never a complaint, always with a smile. Both genuinely and obviously love serving others. That shows up in their relationships in Victory Fellowship and with the kids they minister to every Saturday. Their people and those kids love Beatrice and Gordon and Gordon and Beatrice love them. And that, that is the essence of Kingdom life together.

I will be going back to Kenya in September. While there, I will be looking at some properties that Gordon thinks might work for the School of Ministry. But Gordon also is working on several ministry opportunities. I will be teaching in a couple of churches and meeting with church leaders from Nakuru and several villages.

Thanks for all you do. Without your love, your prayers and your generous giving none of what we couldn’t do what we do!

Greetings from the Balmy North, Well, relatively balmy. We’re still in the mid 30’s, downright tropical for mid-December here. But this too, shall pass and soon enough we’ll be buried under several feet of snow and the rise of the mercury will stop in the single digits. Wow! What a trip! Or is that trips? Anyway, what a wonderful time in the Lord and with His family. ROMANIA The main goal for the Romanian leg of the trip was to meet with Pastor Adi and move ahead on the School of Ministry; and that is exactly what happened. A prime example of a divine appointment. We were in complete agreement about the form the school should take, where it should start, goals and timing. So, as soon as the holiday season is past, Mark will start working on the curriculum for the school. We hope to see the first students attending classes in the fall of 2015! If the speed with which this year has started is any indicator of what the rest of this year will be.....I may have to stop now and again to catch my breath. That thought excites me, and I hope that is exactly how it will be. My highest hope for you and me is that the perfect will of God will be accomplished in each of our lives so that multitudes will come to know Jesus our Savior, that He may be gloried and that we may be edified more and more each day.  In some ways, I am still in Thanksgiving mode. Actually, I am always in thanksgiving mode, but the news I am sharing with you now is a carryover from a $1200 project I presented to you in our October 2015 newsletter to purchase a new desktop computer for the work in India. News From the North.......

Greetings from the Great Land, Just a bit of trivia. Alaska is the English version of Alyeska, which is Aleut for the Great Land. And it truly is a great land. Pastor Mathew Ondicho, Nairobi, Kenya This month we want to introduce you to a friend of Mark’s. His name is Mathew Ondicho and he’s a pastor and evangelist in Kenya. Mathew is one of 7 children, born into a poor, rural family. Mathew was saved at 5, and by the time he was 7 he was preaching in public. He was so small he had to stand on a table so the congregation could see him. In 2007, God called him into the slums of Nairobi, some 250 miles from his home. Since then, he has planted several churches, conducted numerous crusades and established a feeding program for orphans and widows. Pastor Mathew and his wife, Vane, work side by side to advance the Kingdom, taking ground back from the enemy.
